Research before fmcg sales interview
Before
applying to a company you need to do some research about the
company. Like company’s product , market share, consumer acceptance, market
service, supply chain model, damage settlement policy, payment policy from trade channel. Also about know about HR
policy , particularly salary structure.
By research
you will be able to understand the dynamics of the company. Research can help you to answer this
question “Why do you want to work here ?” Again there may be some other question
related to research . Also you will need
all these things after joining in that
company. If you join in a company whose
market acceptance is very poor then you will suffer a lot after joining . Also it will build your confidence at the
time of your interview. Interviewer may ask question about the company ( Like
what do you know about our company, tell me about some product of our company).
Collect data
from google research , Use linkedin employee details , other social media ,
research company on You tube also finally check company website.
Also get
some prior knowledge of HR policy , like employee attrition rate , promotion
policy, relocation policy , travel policy, bonus & incentive from existing
employee ( it is better to discuss with ex employee, reason is that ex employee
will give the actual feedback).Does the company pays employee salary on time ?
Also try to
collect their salary structure , it will help you while salary negotiation. If
any company’s salary structure is below your current salary , then meaning less
to go there.
For how many
years present employees are working for that company ?
It is
important to know about your job role you are applying for .If you don’t know about your job role it can be embarrassing at the
time of interview. Interviewer may feel that you are not interested in your job
, you just come for the interview . Also before knowing to any job, if you join in any company, in future you may not be
happy in your career and you will try to leave that job, which not good for you
as well as the company. Try to know
about your job position is
it a newly created one? Or replacement of somebody. If it is replacement
vacancy, try to know why has the previous employee left . If possible contact
the previous employee , he can give you some feed back.
