How to appear for fmcg sales interview
Personal
interview is a very important step in hiring process. It helps to connect
employer and employee. By this process employer gets a right candidate for
their organization and job seeker get a right organization for their career. Employer try to
understand psychology of the candidate.
Practice at home in front of mirror
or any of your family member. Personally I have done this and benefited. It will build your confidence while interview
process. Write the common question on a paper and give it to one of your family
member and ask them to take mock interview. Also you can do video recording of your mock interview and
view it repeatedly , it will help you identify your mistakes.
Before
reaching to interview place, always take printout of your CV, with color photograph. Carry pen and small note book.
Reach to
interview venue before 15 to 30 minutes prior, not more than that. You
will have some time to take rest &
drink water.
Always wear
formal dress , never wear a tie or suit if you are applying for Sales
Representative or sales Officer, because you are going to work as a
frontline sales force , so tie or suit doesn’t look good.
Wear black
shoes. Always be presentable .
Before
entering to the room take permission also same as before taking a seat. Seat
comfortably don not cross your legs or hands. Speaking comfortably is a good art , interviewer may
try to confuse you but you should be normal
and don’t be nervous . Always be
energetic and show positive attitude
.
If
interviewer asks you more than one question at a time , you can answer them one
by one , don’t jump question.
If are
unable to answer any question say it politely and positively show some honesty
.
At the
finishing part of interview you will be given chance to ask question .
Interviewer want to know about your interest in this job. In this part you can
ask for your company’s product , market
share, consumer acceptance, market service, supply chain model, damage
settlement policy, payment policy etc.
Also get a
little knowledge of HR policy , like employee attrition rate ,
promotion policy, relocation policy , travel policy, bonus & incentive.
Don’t discuss too much, because you have not been selected yet.
