FMCG market working .
Friends today I discuss about working
in FMCG market. How to visit market ,how to achieve daily target ? How to plan beat or
route in a particular market ?How to give extensive coverage ?
Before starting your outlet visit you
should do product wise plan ,Daily value
/volume plan. Ask your boss about any focus product, brand ,category .Also
discuss with your boss about company’s ongoing agenda/activity /promotion etc.
You should leave your distributor
point by 9.30 to 10 am along with distributor ‘s salesman. Ideally you should
work with a strong salesman so that you
can build your confidence. Now enter into outlet and seek his attention by
greeting him in local language, like “Namaskar , Ram ram ji or any other speech in bold” .Give your
introduction , after introduction observe the type of outlet and promote your
product accordingly. If it is your existing customer then find out which
products are available and what quantity. Thereafter find out which products
are not available and try to take order from the shopkeeper. After taking order
ask the shopkeeper if he is having any problem , regular service ,any scheme
and promotion from company . Then you should check if that outlet is having any
company property(Stand, Rack, standalone ) or not, if yes kindly check whether it is
properly maintained or not as per company policy. if you observe any shopkeeper
misusing any company property ,then request him politely to maintain it as per
agreed terms. If it is a new outlet then first observe the type of outlet and
then you can promote your product easily. Throughout the day your job is to monitor the salesman(
first fifteen days may be your learning period ). This is the process you can
work in urban retails market . Minimum you need to visit 35 to 50 outlet
daily as per beat. Also you need to work for 4 hours in the market. After
completion of beat you should have a review of the day. By 3 pm you will be
able to complete your market work then you can go for your second half of the
day.
