If you are Graduate then it is better to work under any super stockist or any third party recruitment agency ( For fresh Graduate it will be some difficult for getting any payroll job in FMCG company). You will get some knowledge about FMCG sector , working style and many more. Also you will have the chance to build relationship with different company’s sales professional, like ASM , ZSM or SO. It will help you to get payroll job. After getting some exposure under any Super stockiest or third party, you can easily find payroll job in any reputed organization, obviously you have to go for interview and any other recruitment process. Also you will be getting help from your super stockiest or distributor to find any payroll job. Your distributor or super stockiest may give you information for various job openings. All these things will happen if you are an honest, hard working and self motivated person.
While working , it is a good practice to build relationship with people of same field. As you build relationship with people , you will get reference for new opening or vacancy. Again a good sales professional gets some interview call from market also. Because you never work in the market alone, some body may follow your good work . Management from different company observes good sales people in the market and some time offers job opportunity.
Second option is , upload your resume on job portal and you can get job interview call from different consultancy. You have to appear for personal interview . In some company written exam are also there. But this option will be a little difficult for new comers.
A small size organization pays Rs 1 Lakh to 3 Lakhs per annum & a mid size company pays Rs4Lakhs to 6 Lakhs .Off course a big MNC pays around 8 to 10 lakhs (For Sales Officer, Area sales Executive, Area Sales In charge.)
If you are a management graduate then you can get payroll job in any reputed brands through campus selection as management trainee depending upon reputation of your business school .
After joining as a management trainee ,you can climb up to the top management position depending upon your skill &ability . For example like team management, team performance & team guidance. Majority of management graduates are being hired by big corporate & pays a handsome amount like 10 to 15 lakhs per annum .
Once you joined , your qualification does not matter , the only thing that matters is your performance . You will have to prove your skill , delivering capacity , pressure handling etc.
It is better to switch your job in every 3 to 4 years to get a higher designation . Also in every job change you will get some salary benefit. You can get promoted in a same company but it is slower than job change.
